Did your Xbox break on you? Read this article to learn some fixes.
If your Xbox just broke and you're wondering what to do...don't panic! I can show you how to get your Xbox up and running before you run out of patience. The Xbox 360 fix is easy! The first thing you need to do is assess the problem. If your Xbox has three red flashing lights on the console, this can mean it's a power supply issue. Check the power supply box on the back, if its green you will need to call for service. If the light is orange, red or not on at all, you can try plugging it into another outlet. It the problem is not in the outlet, the power supply box will need to be replaced. If your Xbox is flashing with two lights, it is usually an over- heating problem, so relax! A solution might be as easy as turning it off for a bit and letting it cool down...your only issue here is finding something else to do! When your Xbox is flashing three or four red lights, you should check the cables and if the cables do not need to be tightened in the box, then a service call is likely. Your Xbox games might be getting scratched. This can be caused by moving the console while it's turned on, or there could be some interference with the disc tray opening and closing, However, if it was purchased in late 2006, might be a technical issue. Microsoft, detected an issue with the optical lens not having enough cushion and corrected the problem with newer models. For this area, a service call needs to be placed. Getting your Xbox back on its feet might take a little detective work at first, but if you can't detect the Xbox 360 fix, on your own, a service call will do the trick. Microsoft will either send you back a refurbished one or a new system and it all can happen within a few weeks. |
